BANK PRODUCTS
Drake provides everything you need to offer bank products, a popular and easy way
to add revenue to your tax season. We offer several bank partners and products,
at no additional cost to you.
Bank Products
Refund Anticipation Loan (RAL) – This product allows
your clients to obtain a loan against their expected tax refund. You can print the
check for the loan in your office or it can be deposited into your client's bank
account. You can have your fee for tax preparation withheld from the loan and direct
deposited into your account.
Direct Deposit Check (DDC) – This type of product goes
by various names, depending on the provider: Bonu$ check, ERC (Electronic Refund
Check), and RT (Refund Transfer). This product is not a loan, but it allows you
to print a check for the taxpayer in your office or have it deposited in your client's
bank account as soon as the refund is received at the bank. Again, tax preparation
fees can be withheld from the check and direct deposited into your account.
State DDC – Handle each client's state refund the same
way as federal refunds. You can print the check for that refund in your office or
have it direct deposited into the client's bank account.
Debit Cards – Give clients refunds in the form of a
debit card (rather than a check). Products and details vary by provider.
Payment Options – Your clients may be eligible for advances
to help pay balance due returns. The fees for this are much less than late payment
fees they might pay to the IRS or to the state, and less than the fees they would
incur if they pay by credit card.
