Wrong Name on Check



What do I do if the wrong name is printed on the check for a bank product? 

 

The name transmitted with the product is the name printed on the check. If it is misspelled, or the incorrect name was entered, follow the bank's instructions below to request a correction. Some banks will send a new acknowledgement so the preparer can print a corrected check through Drake Tax or the bank website. Advise affected taxpayers that it may be 3-5 days after the request is submitted for the check to reach them in some cases. 

EPS

Log into the EPS Financial website, download the "Corrected Check Request" form, complete the form and return it to the bank. The bank will send a new check authorization for the preparer to print a new check with the name change. For more information, contact EPS at (484) 546-2240.

Complete the "Taxpayer Maintenance Form" in the Program Guidelines book supplied to you by Republic and return it to the bank. For more information, contact Republic at (866) 491-1040.

Log in to the TPG website, download "Taxpayer Name Correction Request Form" (under Downloadable Forms), complete the form and return it to the bank. For more information, contact TPG at (800) 779-7228.
