I lost the Drake Tax Software shortcut desktop icons. How can I recreate them?
To recreate a shortcut for Drake Tax, navigate to the computer disk that Drake Tax is installed on, and follow the applicable instructions based on your program year:
NOTE: Steps marked with an asterisk (*) apply to Windows 11 systems only.
- Drake Tax 2023: Go to DRAKE23\FT, right-click DrakeTax2023.exe, and choose *Show more options > Send to > Desktop (create shortcut).
- Drake Tax 2022: Go to Drake22\FT, right-click DrakeTax2022.exe, and choose *Show more options > Send to > Desktop (create shortcut).
- Drake Tax 2020 and 2021: Go to Drake[YY]\FT, right-click DRAKE[YY].exe, and choose *Show more options > Send to > Desktop (create shortcut).
- Drake Tax 2016 – 2019: Go to DRAKE[YY]\FT, right-click DRAKE[YY].exe, and choose *Show more options > Send to > Desktop (create shortcut).
