In a multi-state return where both states require a county name, a Maryland EF Message indicates the county name I entered is invalid for MD, so no local MD tax is being calculated. How can I correct this?
MD EF Message 0605 states:
The county name entered on Federal Screen 1 is not a
Maryland county name therefore no Local Tax is calculated for MD.
If this is a multi-state return where both states require a
county name, override the MD county name on MD screen 502
To clear this message, override the county name in the County field on MD screen 1 (502 Resident and Part Year).
