How do I complete Part III of Form 4972?
Lines 8, 9, 11, and 18 of screen 4972 (on the Taxes tab) all correspond to Part III of Form 4972, Tax on Lump-Sum Distributions. Entries made to these lines flow directly to the form.
The questions in Part I of Form 4972 determine whether or not the form can be used. Answers may prevent Parts II and III from being produced. Check the EF Messages and Return Notes in View/Print mode for more information.
