The IRS will be conducting system maintenance on the following days and times. These maintenance periods are in addition to the annual scheduled maintenance/blackout times; see Related Links below. The federal and state e-file system, including the ability to transmit returns and retrieve acknowledgments, will be unavailable during these times:

All services except "SendSubmissions" will be unavailable for MeF Production and Testing Systems on Sunday, May 26, 2024, from 12:01 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Eastern time.
