I am receiving CA EF Message 1046 regarding Form FTB 3506. How would I resolve this message?
CA EF Message 1046 states:
CA 3506
There is an error with the Child and dependent Care Expenses Credit (Form FTB 3506).
CA 3506 Part III is not computed due to ALL of the Part II line G's being blank. Federal 2441 screen must be completed for the CA care provider to enable CA 3506 Part II to produce.
This message is produced when federal screen 2441 has been filled out, but the State Information section has not been completed.
You can clear this message by returning to the federal screen 2441 and completing the State Information section for each child care provider.
