Post Button Grayed Out (DAS)



Drake Accounting®: I have entered transactions in the Unposted screen, but the Post button is grayed out.  Why can't I post?

 

If the Post button is unavailable (grayed out) in the Unposted transactions screen, check the following items:

  • Check for red validators ().  Make sure all filters are cleared, as this can hide validators that do not fit the selected filters.
  • Make sure that the transactions to be posted are balanced.                                                                             

  • In the Status of Months section, the month to be posted should be green to indicate that the transactions in that month are balanced. 

  • Check Firm > User Setup > Journal Options and make sure the box Disallow posting in the Journal screen is not marked for the specified user.

 

  • The Chart of Accounts must be set up.  If this client was updated from a prior year, the prior year end close must be completed and the COA must be updated to the current year before transactions can be posted.
