Illinois Update 11

  • Individual Package:
    • EF Messages 2013 and 2014 will now be generated when either check box "9465 only" or "56" has been marked in the "Federal e-File Override" section on the federal EF screen.
    • EF Message 1027 is no longer generated when a valid "Date of death" has been entered on federal screen 1 but no "Signature date" has been entered on the federal PIN screen.
    • EF Message 1026 will no longer be generated unless the taxpayer's SSN is invalid.
    • EF Message 1401 will no longer be generated when line 22, "U.S. Treasury bonds, bills, notes, savings bonds, and U.S. agency interest from federal Form 1040 or 1040-SR," of Schedule Mi, Other Additions and Subtractions for Individuals, is less than $1,500 and federal Schedule B is not required for the federal return.
  • Partnership Package:
    • IL Return Note 9 has been added to inform preparers when step 6, "Figure your income allocable to Illinois," on page 2 of Form IL-1065, Partnership Replacement Tax Return, is being calculated due to amounts entered on either of the following:
    • Steps 4, "Figure your partner's or shareholder's share of your business income or loss," and 5, "Figure your partner's or shareholder's share of Illinois additions and subtractions, " column B, "Member's share apportioned or allocated to Illinois," of Schedule K-1-P, Partner's or Shareholder's Share of Income, Deductions, Credits, and Recapture Step 4, "Figure your beneficiary's share of your business income or loss," column B, "Illinois share," of Schedule K-1-T, Beneficiary's Share of Income and Deductions.

Kentucky Update 10

  • Individual Package:
    • An update prevents reject "DRKPARSE" for element, "http://www.irs.gov/efile:DiscussContactEmail," when the email address exceeds the number of characters allowed.
    • An update prevents reject "DRKPARSE" for element "http://www.irs.gov/efile:BusinessNameLine1Type," for an invalid character entered on KY screen 725.
    • The taxpayer's Social Security Number will now be printed on Form 62A500, Tangible Personal Property Tax Return, as expected.
    • Line 16, "Other Income," column A, on page 4 of Form 740-NP, Kentucky Individual Income Tax Return Nonresident or Part-Year Resident, will be calculated as expected when an amount is entered on line 8, "W-2 income excluded per Notice 2014-7," of federal screen 3.
  • Partnership Package:
    • Line 6, "Kentucky distributive share income subject to withholding income tax," of Form PTE-WH, Kentucky Nonresident Income Tax Withholding On Distributive Share Income, will now be calculated as expected using the correct percentage on KY Schedule A, Apportionment and Allocation.
  • S Corporation and Partnership Packages:
    • An update prevents the following reject on Form PTE K-1, Owner's Share of Income, Credits, Deductions, etc.: "SK1PTE-004 - The nonresident shareholders taxable percentage of pro rata share items should equal Schedule A, Section I, line 3; or if a provider code is entered in Form PTE, box F, the nonresident shareholders taxable percentage of pro rata share items should equal the Schedule A, Section I, line 12."
    • An update prevents reject "DRKPARSE" for element "http://www.irs.gov/efile:MethodAndConvention," when "MQ Mid-quarter convention" is selected from the "Force convention" drop list on federal screen 4562.

Massachusetts Update 9

  • Individual Package:
    • Federal Forms W-2 with more than four codes listed in box 12 or 14 may now be e-filed.
    • EF Message 2121 will now be generated when the spouse's birth date is entered using an invalid format, preventing reject "DRKPRSE" for "Spouse."
  • Fiduciary Package:
    • EF Message 4009 will now be generated when an invalid city is entered, preventing reject "DRKPRSE" for element "CityNm."

Missouri Update 19

  • Individual Package: Kansas City
    • An update to fix parse error "The element 'ReturntState' in namespace has incomplete content," when there is not a required spouse RD-109 return to be filed.

New Hampshire Update 6

  • S Corporation Package:
    • Erroneous text will no longer be generated on page 2 of Form DP-9, Small Business Corporation Information Report.
  • All Packages:
    • NH Form BET, Business Enterprise Tax Return, has been updated to allow negative integers on line 4, "Taxable Enterprise Value Tax Base," preventing reject "NHBET0-001."
    • EF Message 3043 will no longer be produced on some returns when NH screen AUTH has already been completed. 
    • The following forms have been approved and can now be printed: 
      • DP-132, Net Operating Loss Deduction
      • DP-9, Small Business Corporation
      • NH-2848, Power of Attorney

New York Update 13

  • Corporation Package:
    • The NYC corporation package has been approved for e-file, and EF Message 0654 has been removed from the program. Due to approval, the following forms may now be e-filed:
      • NYC-2S, Business Corporation Tax Return
      • NYC-2, Business Corporation Tax Return
      • NYC-EXT.1, Application for Additional Extension
      • CT-300, Mandatory First Installment (MFI) of Estimated Tax for Corporations
  • Corporation and S Corporation Packages:
    • e-Signature fields for NY and NYC e-file authorization forms have been added to the program.
    • The address field on NY CT-ES estimated payment vouchers is now limited to 30 characters, preventing parse error "PREP_LN_1_ADR."

General State Program Update 15

  • All Packages:
    • An update prevents MD reject, "State1099Nec-120620-010, ‘Payer EIN must be present,’" when a payer’s SSN is entered on federal screen NEC instead of a federal EIN.

Vermont Update 5

  • Individual Package:
    • Charitable contributions appearing on line 10b of federal Form 1040 will now flow automatically to line 25b, "Deductions not listed above but reported on Form 1040," of Schedule IN-113, Vermont Income Adjustment Calculations.
