Why have I not received any acknowledgements for Ohio returns transmitted between August 21 and September 4?
The Ohio Department of Taxation is currently upgrading their online services. The existing system was taken offline on August 21, 2023, and the new system will be live September 5, 2023. You can continue to submit individual and school district returns during this maintenance period; however, Ohio will not process those returns or send acknowledgements (pending, accepted, or rejected) until September 5, 2023. The submission date will reflect the actual date submitted once the return is processed.
