MD - Rejects “Form505-05870-010,” “Form505-05910-010,” and “Form505-05930-010”

On April 12, 2024, it was brought to our attention that MD Form 505NR was being incorrectly included with nonresident MD returns below the filing requirement threshold, resulting in rejects “Form505-05870-010,” “Form505-05910-010,” and “Form505-05930-010.” Returns with a reciprocal resident state of DC, PA, VA, or WV were not affected.

As there are no penalties involved in the late filing of returns with refunds, no extension is necessary. An update will be released April 17, 2024, correcting this issue, at which time affected returns should be recalculated and retransmitted.
