Hillsborough Community College Students Thank Drake Software

Over the years, Drake Software has provided tax software packages to college accounting departments to help students learn to prepare tax returns. Recently, Drake received thank-you letters from several Accounting and Taxation students at Hillsborough Community College in Florida.

Betty Sumrall wrote about how easy it was to “process individual, partnership, and [corporate] returns” with Drake Tax, noting that she would “highly recommend Drake Tax software for anyone just starting out, or someone that has been in the tax business for many years.” Richard Strell also found Drake Tax easy to use and “[hoped] that someday … [he] would get to use [it] in the business world.”

Echoing their sentiments, Danyal Taber found Drake Tax to not only be helpful when she enters the job market, but also for completing her assignments, due to its easy navigation. “I was able to do my assignments quickly and accurately, because I was comfortable with the software,” she writes. “I also think Drake has a very useful customer support system. Any issues our class may have had were solved easily and quickly once customer support was called.”

Similarly, Lesbia Villarreal said that Drake Tax was “efficient,” and she “will continue to recommend [Drake Tax] to other students, companies, and contacts.” Closing her letter, Lesbia said “I appreciate everything you are doing to help future students in our college.”

The students’ instructor, Professor of Accounting and Taxation Jeffrey P. Goldstein, CPA, also thanked Drake for the opportunity to have access to professional tax software in the classroom: “Thank you tremendously for allowing me to use your tax software, free of charge, as part of my classroom teaching curriculum this past spring 2017 semester. In addition to teaching, I have my own CPA firm, and … I have always used Drake Tax. In my experience over the years using many different types of tax software, Drake is by far the absolute best I have ever used.”

Whether designing superheroes, penciling caricatures, or just doodling, I always knew I was going to earn some sort of art degree while in college. That was my goal before I decided to trade Edgar Degas for Edgar Allan Poe during a Freshman English class. The BA in English soon morphed into a double-major in English and Philosophy, eventually becoming an MA in English. It only makes sense that I learned of a writing opportunity for a local marketing firm while teaching a first-year college English course. Before I knew it, I was writing and editing tax-related articles for Taxing Subjects, and this has been my home since 2014.
