LTPA on How to Help Multi-Cultural Clients – EP13

In this episode, Drake Software Vice President John Sapp and I are joined by two representatives from the Latino Tax Professionals Association (LTPA) to discuss issues facing multi-cultural clients: President and CEO of Lopez Tax Service and LTPA Executive Director, Carlos Lopez, EA, and LTPA Vice President of Business Development, Tony Martinez, EA.

What are multi-cultural clients, and how are they affected by the Affordable Care Act? What tax benefits are they eligible to receive? What challenges will tax professionals serving multi-cultural clients face? What are some strategies for reaching out to this emerging market? Our friends at the LTPA answer these questions and more.

Whether designing superheroes, penciling caricatures, or just doodling, I always knew I was going to earn some sort of art degree while in college. That was my goal before I decided to trade Edgar Degas for Edgar Allan Poe during a Freshman English class. The BA in English soon morphed into a double-major in English and Philosophy, eventually becoming an MA in English. It only makes sense that I learned of a writing opportunity for a local marketing firm while teaching a first-year college English course. Before I knew it, I was writing and editing tax-related articles for Taxing Subjects, and this has been my home since 2014.
