The Client Status Manager (CSM) is a tool used to track the workflow within a tax preparer’s office. This tool provides on-screen tracking, reporting, and exporting options to assist in the management of an office. 

It is important to note that the data viewed within the CSM is only for returns prepared on-site, in a particular office. The CSM data can be uploaded to Drake Software through the EF Process; many offices' CSM data can be combined and utilized in the on-line Multi-Office Manager (MOM).

 


Note

The Personal Client Manager (PCM) allows a logged-in preparer to manage his or her own clients more easily by giving them a personalized version of the CSM on the Home window. The PCM is used, filtered, and updated using the same features as the full CSM. To enable this feature, an administrator must select it in the Setup > Options > Administrative Options tab, in the Setup Options section.
