Indiana Update 25

  • Corporation Package
    • The intended year is now generated on Form IT-6, Indiana Corporate Estimated Payment Voucher.

Montana Update 28

  • Individual Package:
    • EF Message 0153 has been added to the program, preventing reject "DRKPARSE" regarding negative amounts on line 2a, "Tax-exempt interest," of Form 2, Montana Individual Income Tax Return.
  • Individual, Corporation, S Corporation, Partnership, and Fiduciary Packages:
    • The MT payment date will now default to the current date for returns being submitted after the original due date and paid via direct debit when no "Requested payment date" is entered for MT on federal screen PMT. NOTE: Once the return has been accepted, the preparer must return to screen PMT and enter the actual payment date in the MT "Requested payment date" field in order for the actual payment date to be generated on the Client Results Letter and MT return instructions.

Rhode Island Update 19

  • Individual Package:
    • Additional copies of Form RI-1040MU, Credit For Income Taxes Paid To Multiple States, will now be produced if there are more than four other states present in the return.
    • Line 9b, "RI Credit for income taxes paid to other states," of Form RI-1040, Resident Individual Income Tax Return, indicates the sum of all lines 30, "Total Credit," from Forms RI-1040MU. Form RI-1040MU, Credit for income taxes paid to multiple states will now produce a second form if there are more than 4 other states present in the return.
    • The amount was previously calculated correctly, and flowing to RI-1040, page 1, line 9b.
