How do I amend a CA 565 (partnership) or a CA 568 (LLC) return?
Before you amend, you may want to archive the return as it currently exists so that the original return is preserved.
To archive the return:
- Go to View/Print mode in the return.
- At the top, select Archive Client Return from the Documents drop list.
- Enter a name that describes the return, such as Original Return or Return as E-filed.
The return is now archived and available for restoration if necessary.
To produce the amended return on the CA 565 or CA 568, select Amended Return under line G on federal screen 1 (Name, Address, and General Info.).
Complete the amended return as necessary.
