Commission for a Salary Based Employee (DAS)



Drake Accounting®: How do I enter commissions for a salary based employee?

 

To enter commissions for a salary based employee:

  1. Go to Employees > Employee Setup 
  2. Click New and fill out all applicable information on the personal information tab.
  3. On the Payroll Wages tab select Salary for the Pay Class.
  4. Enter the appropriate Pay Frequency as well as the Annual Salary for this employee.
  5. Fill out the rest of the tabs under Employee Setup and click Save.
  6. Go to Employees > Payroll > Live or ATF and select the employee that will receive the commissions.
  7. Enter the correct amount in the Commissions field for the employee.
  8. Click Save.
