Drake Accounting®: How do I enter commissions for a salary based employee?
To enter commissions for a salary based employee:
- Go to Employees > Employee Setup
- Click New and fill out all applicable information on the personal information tab.
- On the Payroll Wages tab select Salary for the Pay Class.
- Enter the appropriate Pay Frequency as well as the Annual Salary for this employee.
- Fill out the rest of the tabs under Employee Setup and click Save.
- Go to Employees > Payroll > Live or ATF and select the employee that will receive the commissions.
- Enter the correct amount in the Commissions field for the employee.
- Click Save.
