To add and set up your email accounts, begin setting up your ADMIN Options. From DrakeYY main window, go to Help > Email. Select Setup > ADMIN Options.

Every preparer in your office can have his or her own email account. To do so, each must complete a separate email account setup.



At the top of the "ADMIN Options" dialog, There are three options:

    • Allow Each Preparer to Use the Office Email Account
    • Force Each Preparer to Use the Office Email Account
    • Only Allow Preparers to Send Messages/Files to Drake Software

 

If none of these options is selected by default, the preparers in your office are able to set up and use any email program they choose through Drake Software. If, however, you choose to set up an “Office” email account, select one of the first two options, then click Setup Office Email Account to set up the email program everyone uses.

 

The third option is for office personnel who might need to contact Drake Support but have no need to email clients.

 

To set up individual email accounts, from the menu bar, select Setup > Accounts to open the Email -  Accounts Settings window. To add a new account, click Add Account at the bottom of the window.
