The enhanced Drake email program is more secure than ever, and more versatile.  You can use the email provider of your choice, including any of the free email providers, such as Gmail and Outlook.com.


These changes mean you can now use any email account you choose to communicate with Drake and your clients. Every preparer in your office sets up and uses his or her own email address.


    • When you send an email through Drake’s tax software, you can choose to use any email provider, including the email provider you normally use for all your office communications.
    • Drake included a secure file-transfer program to send files to Drake Support.

 

To access Drake Email, open the tax software, and from the menu bar of the Home window, select Help > Email.


To access Drake Email from data entry, click Email from the Data Entry Menu toolbar. There is also an Email button on the View mode toolbar to facilitate sending PDF– copies of the return to your clients.


Which email is used when these access points are used is determined by what is in the global setting found in Email Admin Options and the corresponding information in Email Account Settings.
