The "Sort Form Order" dialog is used to set up the form order used in the software's print and view modes. This screen is accessible by clicking the Set Form Order button in Printer Setup, or from the View/Print modes within the Enhanced viewing preference. The form order can be set for each of the return types and to sets corresponding to each type of return. 


Setting a Print Order


Use Pricing Setup to view or change the order in which forms are printed using drag-drop ordering.

  1. From the menu bar of the Drake Tax Home window, go to Setup > Pricing.
  2. Choose the package to modify by selecting a Return Type and Fed/State type; choose a print set to modify, if desired. The Category must remain Default View. Changing the Category to any other option disables form ordering, as the list view changes to a prefiltered version of the selected package or set. If drag-drop form ordering is not allowed, a status of Not Available appears in the lower-left corner of the Pricing Setup window.
  3. Double-click a form to drag and drop it to the desired location. To move multiple forms at once, either:
    • Click a form and drag your cursor to highlight the desired forms, then click and drag the highlighted form block to the desired location.
    • Hold Ctrl and select the desired forms. Release Ctrl and drag the highlighted form block to the desired location.
  1. To reset the form order of all Sets within the selected package (Return Type and Fed/State combination), choose Restore.


Changing Form Categories


To change the category of a form, locate the document in the Pricing Setup list, and select the form’s current Category. From the drop list, select the new category. The next time you open the current package, the form will be in its newly designated category.
