Arkansas Update 34

  • Individual Package:
    • The $6,000 exemption is now taken as expected on line 18B of the following forms when a taxable "Qualified IRA/Pension" amount is entered for the spouse on line 18 of AR screen 1:
      • AR1000F, Arkansas Individual Income Tax Return Full Year Resident
      • AR1000NR, Arkansas Individual Income Tax Return Nonresident and Part Year Resident

District of Columbia Update 27

  • Corporation, S Corporation, Partnership, and Fiduciary Packages:
    • The intended e-file information is now printed on the of the Client Results Letter.

Kentucky Update 33

  • Individual, Corporation, S Corporation, and Partnership Packages:
    • Line 3, "Receipts factor," will now be calculated as intended when lines 1 and 2 of KY Schedule A, Apportionment and Allocation, are negative.
  • Individual Package:
    • KY Form 8863-K, Kentucky Education Tuition Tax Credit, will now be generated as intended when federal Form 8863, Education Credits, is present in the return.

Maine Update 34

  • S Corporation and Partnership Packages:
    • EF Message 0514 has been updated.
  • Corporation and Fiduciary Packages:
    • EF Message 0514 is no longer generated when direct payment data is entered on federal screen PMT for ME returns filed after September 15, 2022.
  • Fiduciary Package:
    • EF Message 0015 has been added to the program, preventing reject "ME1041-016" when the amount on line 8c of Form 1041ME, Income Tax Returns for Resident and Nonresident Estates and Trusts, includes an amount from line 8b, and there is an amount on line 9. Returns with an overpayment amount reduced due to an underpayment penalty must be paper-filed.

New York Update 32

  • Corporation and S Corporation Packages:
    • NY Form CT-222, Underpayment of Estimated Tax By a Corporation, is now generated as intended when "F - Force printing" is selected on NY screen PEN for an "M - Metropolitan transportation business tax (MTA surcharge)" tax type, and there is no penalty.
