Can I edit the filing instructions?
No, they cannot be edited.
I am e-filing a return, but the filing instructions give a mailing address.
The filing instructions default to e-file instructions unless the global setup option is checked under Setup > Options > Client Communications tab > Use paper-filing information for federal and state letters and filing instructions or the COMM screen override is used on a single return.
Can I turn off the filing instructions?
You turn them off globally at Setup > Options > Client Communications tab. Change the selections for Federal filing instructions and State filing instructions.
You can also turn off federal and state filing instructions in a single return on the COMM screen.
How do I change the date appearing at the top of the filing instructions?
You may change this date by opening the COMM screen in the return and overriding the date in the field titled Due date to be printed on letter and filing instructions.
