14519: Republic Bank Product ID EF Messages

Republic

I have entered taxpayer ID information the IDS screen, but EF Messages 5193, 5363, 5555, and 5824 are still present. How can I clear these EF Messages?

These are the EF Messages that you are seeing:

EF message 5193:

ID INFORMATION IS MISSING OR INVALID: ID information is missing from screen IDS.  The taxpayer's (and spouse's, if MFJ) ID information must be entered on screen IDS if you are applying for a bank product.

Go to screen IDS and verify that the ID information has been entered and is correct.  If a photo ID is required, make sure that a "Driver's License" or "State issued Photo ID" is selected from the "Type" drop list in the top section of the screen.

EF message 5363:

The ID expiration date is prior to the current date.

EF message 5555:

INVALID DATE: The "Expiration date" on the IDS screen comes before the "Issue date."

EF message 5824:

TAXPAYER MIGHT NOT QUALIFY: One or more upfront disqualifiers have been generated for this return.  Clear any other EF Messages generated for this return first.  Once all upfront disqualifiers have been cleared, this EF Message will also be cleared. If you are unable to clear the disqualifiers, the taxpayer is not eligible for the Refund Transfer and the information below should be conveyed to the customer.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TO THE CUSTOMER:

Due to factors within your tax return, you are not eligible for a Refund Transfer with Republic Bank.

**For Preparer Use Only**

If the taxpayer has additional questions, you may refer to the TRS Program Guidelines for our Refund Transfer eligibility requirements.

For a Republic Bank product, the ID Type, Number, State, Issue Date, and Expiration Date are required entries for the taxpayer and spouse (if applicable). Return to the IDS screen and enter any missing information:

IDs That Do Not Expire

There are several states that issue non-expiring IDs. However, these IDs are not valid for the purposes of applying for a Republic Bank product.

If the taxpayer does not have a driver's license or state issued photo ID with a valid expiration date, a different ID type may be entered:

If the taxpayer does not have valid identification that contains an expiration date, they will not be able to apply for a Republic Bank product.
