I do not see anything that says Texas on the calculation window. What do these numbers mean?
The calculation results window, the EF Status page, the listing under EF > Select Returns for EF, and the transmission reports display the Texas Franchise Report name as a combination of digits indicating the type, year, and number of report being transmitted. Unlike other state filings, the state abbreviation (TX) is not displayed as part of the form name.

Drake Tax supports the e-filing of multiple current and prior year Franchise Tax Reports. The following naming convention helps make this possible.
- The first set of digits represent the type of e-Filed report:
- 63 - No Tax Due Report - Form 05-163
- 69 - Texas EZ Report - Form 05-169
- 58A - Texas Long Form - Form 05-158A/B
- The next two digits indicate the report year:
- 21 – Report Year 2021
- 20 – Report Year 2020
- The final three digits indicates the particular report that’s being filed, allowing for multiple filings:
- 001 – the first reporting entity in the transmission file.
- 002 – the second reporting entity in the transmission file.
This naming convention allows the software to support the transmission of an unlimited number of Texas reports in a single transmission.
