In a Pennsylvania local earned income tax return, the credit for taxes paid to other states is not what I expected. Can this be adjusted?
The credit for out-of-state school taxes does not flow to the PA return automatically. Overrides are available on PA screen LOC. Make an entry on line 12 to override the total credit amount. If this override is used, the PA CTY CRD worksheet is not produced.
Alternatively, use the hyperlinks at the top of the screen to open detailed data entry screens for TP Cr1, TP Cr 2, SP Cr 1, SP Cr 2 to adjust the amounts flowing to the PA CTY CRD worksheets.
