15930: OH - EF Message 0098 and 0033

OH EF Message 0098 states:

If state tax withheld is present on the 1099R screen then the state code, ID and state distribution amount must also be present.

To clear this message, review all 1099 screens in data entry for entries made in box 14 for state tax withheld and at least one missing entry in boxes 15-16. All fields in boxes 15 and 16 must be completed when there is state tax withheld reported on the 1099-R.

OH EF Message 0033 states:

If state withholding is entered on the W-2, then the state code and state wages must also be entered.​

To clear this message, review all W2 screens for entries in box 17. All W2s with entries for state tax must also have entries in boxes 15-16.

Note: State Code, Employer's state ID number, and State Wages must be completed or OH EF Message 0034 could also be produced.
