18411: Hosting on Rightworks - Uploading Backup File

To move a backup of your Drake Tax files from a local installation to Rightwork, follow these steps: 

1. In the local installation of Drake Tax, go to Tools > File Maintenance > Backup.
2. Select the box Back up to local or network location.
3. Click Browse and choose a location that is easy to find later (such as your desktop).
4. Select Perform full back up and Include DDM (if applicable).
5. Click Backup.
6. Launch the File Manager from your local computer browser and login.
7. Select your destination location [companyname_acct#] (I:) from the list of available locations on the left.
   
8. Click the Upload Files icon.
   
9. Click Add and browse to the location of your saved file (step 3 above).
10. Select the file and click Open,.
    
    
11. Then click Upload.
    
    
12. The file will appear in the File Manager list once it has been uploaded.
    
13. Launch Drake Tax from inside the Rightworks desktop.
14. Go to Tools > File Maintenance > Restore.
15. At the bottom of the window, choose Restore From: Local or network location.
16. Click Browse and select the I:\ as the location.
17. Make sure the backup displays in the drop list. 
    
18. Click Preview and follow the remaining prompts to restore the backup.
19. Under the Tools menu, choose Repair Index files.
